About CCE's Children's Painting Classes
In a supportive atmosphere painting becomes a powerful tool for helping
children grow into healthy confident adults.
The CCE provides quality materials, a supportive structure and caring

About CCE's talented staff:
Barbara Kaufman
Cofounder and Executive Director of CCE Painting Studio, in San
Francisco, Barbara Kaufman has been a teacher of the creative process for
over 25 years. She taught at The Painting Experience Studio for thirteen
years. She has taught workshops at Spirit Rock, Esalen,and Omega
Institutes. She also cofounded and ran The Children's Magic Brush Studio,
which offered classes and workshops for children.
Gary Silverstein
Gary Silverstein has a BFA with emphasis in painting, lithography and
children's book illustration and has worked as a corporate graphic designer.
He began painting with the Painting Experience in 1990 and is currently
teaching children's classes at the CCE
Amanda Basler
Amanda Basler has been painting at the CCE Painting Studio since 1999 and
has been teaching children's classes for the last 4 years. She has also
taught art in several Bay area elementary schools and has a Masters in
Counseling Psychology.
